Volunteers are placed throughout the hospital and contribute thousands of hours each year to support the hospital mission "We improve health every day."
SA国际传媒Northern Virginia Medical Center offers various volunteer opportunities for different interests and skill sets. Whether you have a passion for providing comfort and companionship, assisting with patient transport, helping with wayfinding around the hospital, providing administrative support, or helping to organize special events, your contribution is invaluable.

- Women's Health Center - in Labor & Delivery, and Post-partum Unit

Adult volunteer information
The dedicated people who make up our adult volunteer program provide support in areas throughout our medical campus.
Criteria for our adult volunteers:
- Commit to a minimum of six hours of service a month.
- Complete a volunteer application
- Interview with volunteer supervisor
- Participate in our training program.
- Submit to a criminal background check.
- Complete volunteer health requirements.
Junior volunteer information
Our junior volunteers discover valuable opportunities to gain experience, grow, and contribute to SA国际传媒Northern Virginia Medical Center during our summer volunteer program. Interested applicants must be:
- A rising freshman, sophomore, junior or senior in high school
- Between 14 and 17 years of age
- Commit to a minimum of one 4-hour shift per week
- Submit to a criminal background check.
To apply to our junior volunteer program, applicants must submit:
- An application between May 1 -17 2025
- A school transcript (official or unofficial)
- A letter of recommendation from a guidance counselor or teach
- Participate in a group interview
