David Masterson

David Masterson, MHA, FACHE, is the president of SA国际传媒Obici Hospital, which encompasses three Suffolk campuses in Isle of Wight County, VA. SA国际传媒Obici Hospital is a 175-bed facility that includes integrated medical office buildings, as well as various ambulatory services including an ambulatory surgery center. The expanded SA国际传媒BelleHarbour campus in North Suffolk includes a 24-hour freestanding emergency department, ambulatory surgery center, advanced imaging center and medical offices. SA国际传媒St. Luke's is an outpatient campus in Isle of Wight County.
Previous Experience
Masterson joined SA国际传媒on 2013 and brings more than 30 years of experience in healthcare executive leadership to the Western Tidewater region.
Prior to his role at SA国际传媒Obici, Masterson was the president of SA国际传媒Williamsburg Regional Medical Center from 2013 - 2021. SA国际传媒Williamsburg Regional Medical Center is a 145-bed acute care hospital serving the greater Williamsburg area. Under his leadership, SA国际传媒Williamsburg Regional Medical Center was recognized several times as one of the nation's Top 100 Hospitals by Truven/IBM/Watson and Becker's Top 100 Hospitals, achieved a five-star quality rating by the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS), and achieved Magnet designation for nursing quality by the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC) since 2014 and continues as a 'Straight A' Hospital with Leapfrog consumer advocacy organization.
Masterson has served in executive positions in health systems of various size and description from a 25 bed Critical Access Hospital to a 700-bed tertiary referral center. He has experience with rural, for-profit, 501(c)(3), religious affiliated and public health systems. His breadth of experience spans all setting of healthcare including hospital operations, practice management, long-term care, home health, ambulatory imaging, surgery and therapies and wellness centers.
Masterson was raised in Virginia Beach and has been married nearly 30 years to his wife, Leah. He has two adult children and one grandson.
